It is a thing when it is real. The president's declaration about $5,000 per American is real. So it's been researched and...

The president's intent is very real.

As the treasury secretary, I'm sure you... Do you have any apprehensions about a $1.8 trillion deficit that would be impacted even more negatively if every American received $5,000 from the federal government? Well, first of all, I think putting more money in the American people's pocket, it should be an objective for everyone. And I believe there are ways to do it that would not affect the deficit.

Yeah. And ways to do it without involving Congress.

Again, if Congress is needed, I look forward to working with Speaker Johnson. If not, then not.
