Constellation CEO Sees Steady Growth for EV Demand

You mentioned EVs earlier, Joe, and, you know, they cycled up, at least in the, well, the United States is pretty different from the rest of the world right now. I mean, the rest of the world just continues to accelerate the adoption of EVs. The United States kind of plateaued, perhaps for political reasons. What do you think the future of EVs is in the United States and globally?

I think... I think the loss of the tax credit has certainly impacted some of the growth projections, but our own internal models continue to show steady growth for EVs. In fact, what we're seeing, again, we do a lot of analytical work around this, but what we're seeing is those people who have bought an electric vehicle more than likely are going to buy another electric vehicle when it's over with. So there are aspects of its performance that work very well. Very clearly, there continues to be in the States range anxiety. I think one of the key differences in the States, we tend to drive more miles, so that range anxiety becomes more acute. And we'll see how we're able to keep up with that with charging stations. But to us, the technology simply does look superior from both an efficiency and a vehicle performance standpoint. And so as we put the pieces together, regardless of the federal strategy on tax credits, we'll see a continually growing market there.
