IPOs: Making a Comeback

It's a difficult time to take a company public when you're at peak interest rates, and I think that what has been good about the fact that they've gone public is that it indicates what values are, and it also indicates that the ability to see upside is gonna depend upon company performance. So, when we look at the more than 200 companies, right, in technology and technology-related fields that are waiting to become IPOs, we think that only those that have strong growth prospects, good balance sheets and are either profitable or becoming profitable will even be candidates for this market. And we do not expect a boom in issuance the way we saw in 2021, right, or in the 1998 to early 2000s. This is gonna be a moderate rate of IPO growth and it's gonna be a show me kind of outcome, depending upon what the companies do will depend upon how they actually perform. But the investing for the first three days is not what people should be looking at.
